Lebaran Betawi Could Be Tourist Destinations

This year, Lebaran Betawi event is back in the capital. As planned, the annual event will be held for two days, Saturday (8/12) and Sunday (8/13) in Lapangan Banteng area, Central Jakarta.

The format is still the same lack of flexibility. It should be well developed, Lebaran Betawi could be a tourist destination

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat expects, the event agenda can be one of the tourist destinations in the capital.

"The format is still the same lack of flexibility. It should be well developed, Lebaran Betawi could be a tourist destination," said Djarot, Thursday (8/11).

Resort is Demanded to Enliven Lebaran Betawi

This proves that the city continues to preserve Betawi culture. Therefore, it would be better if the annual event is made different every period.

"The event should be held again next year, maybe the format can be more discussed again. We won't a monotonous event," he stressed.

Lebaran Betawi is one annual event as a gathering place among Jakartans after Eid ul Fitr. Five administrative regions in Jakarta will be exhibiting the peculiarities of each region. The event was organized by Jakarta government and Betawi Consultative Body (Bamus Betawi)

It was firstly in 2008 in Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta. This year, it would also be held at the same region.
